HepcoMotion pinion gears are compatible with gear cut ring slides, segments and ring discs 26-33. Gear teeth have a 20ºpressure angle.

Pinions smaller than 1 module are made in unhardened stainless steel with teeth that conform to ISO 1328 grade 10. Theseare supplied with a plain bore (B type), with a keyway and set screw (BK type for bores of 8mm and above) or with set screwonly (BK type for bores below 8mm).

Pinions with modules of 1 and above have hardened and ground teeth, conform to ISO 1328 grade 6 and are available in both steeland stainless steel. These pinions are supplied with a plain bore (B type) or with keyway and set screw (BK type).

In all cases, the pinion and slide ring teeth should be lubricated. A range of pinions with integral shaft, suitable for hollow shaftconnection to supplied AC geared motors and other motors is available from the HepcoMotion GV3 product range, please visitwww.bwc.com.

  • For Dimension D and E: Small "BK" type pinions with bores below 8 mm are supplied with set screw through to the bore but without keyway. It is usual practice to secure these pinions by means of a set screw onto a flat on the shaft or by using a taper pin.
  • For Dimension L: Pinions are supplied with a flat point set screw DIN 913 (ISO 4026).
